xD this is the last of my con spam. Is it the end of the art for the day, I don't know, but it's the end of the Setsucon stuff. Behind-the-scenes stuff compiled with a summary.
This was... my best con experience yet x'D It was long and painful and I have sores and cuts in many places (particularly on my hands), but it was so enjoyable. Car ride on the way down, sat and RP'd Nexus--morning of the con, everyone's super friendly and the helpful NPC (who is easily among the most friendly people you will ever meet) among others remembered us and greeted and chatted and helped us out, and the person at the table next to me was just wonderful and we had fun talking about series and squeeing over good cosplayers and everything.
I also got to meet ~Sheoth-Servant and *AllegedStitches, which was just the most exciting thing 8'D Lots of hanging out with Stitches, trying to keep myself from exploding from all the excite and getting to punch him for all the worship.
I also got to meet *SenshiStock, which was shocking and amazing that she was there, and I totally didn't expect it XD I also met =TwilightSaint, who I bought a shoulder puppet from that I adore x'D I've been a fan for a while, so that was also squee-worthy getting to meet her, and she's really cool. And then I... met LittleKuriboh, who bought my book 8'D I'd been too chicken to go over and talk to him, as he had a table nearby, but he ended up coming over to me and buying one (which I still have reason to believe was a total setup, but honestly I don't care because that was like the nicest thing ever and I want to give that person a hug for doing that /D). I later bought something from him anyway, among other things.
I actually spent most of my time sitting at my table (20 hours total, I sat there XD) doing art, talking to people, watching cosplayers; it was really just a very enjoyable time after you take out the variable of uncomfortable cosplay on Saturday (steampunk) and comfortable-but-not-warm cosplay on Sunday (Jacred) and the small little cramped space we had for artist's tables and things and the little sleep. And somehow, despite the massive amount of money I spent, I still ended up taking home more than I started with.
The end of it was so bittersweet. I really, really, really did not want to say goodbye to Stitches, and the on top of that pain I had to later depart from all of the friends I'd made at the con that I probably won't get to see again. There was much hugging and exchanging of business cards. My dad and I did really well selling-wise, though, and it was so nice to finally be able to get some sleep (and some food, for that matter) after it was all over.
/END SUMMARY THAT ENDED UP BEING RATHER LONG /I ALSO MISS EVERYONE BITTERLY ALREADY
BIG CLAPS AND HUGS!!!! amaaazinnggg, running a table is not something anyone can do and your art is so strong, am so proud!!! i know how difficult it is drawing for people right in front of you but it thats definitely a strength of yours
EEEEEeeeee, thank you so much! ;v; I shared a table last year with my dad, but this year I'd expanded and was on my own; it was a really great experience ;v; THANK YOU AGAIN <3 it means so much.
